The Elder Justice MDT Resource Center evolved from the MDT Technical Assistance Center (MDT TAC), which was established in 2016. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to strengthen multidisciplinary responses to elder abuse by supporting elder justice teams across the United States.
Supported by the U.S. Department of Justice's Elder Justice Initiative, the Resource Center continues to provide no-cost technical assistance to MDTs while expanding its offerings to include comprehensive training, practical tools, national resources, and field-informed reports that advance effective MDT practice.
The Resource Center serves the elder justice field through five interconnected focus areas: Peer Support, Technical Assistance, Professional Education, MDT Development Tools, and Field Responsiveness. Each focus area is designed to address emerging needs identified through national technical assistance requests, the 2025 National MDT Listening Sessions, and the 2026 National MDT Survey. Together, these efforts strengthen elder justice systems, enhance multidisciplinary collaboration, and expand access to high-quality training, technical assistance, and evidence-informed resources for MDT coordinators and practitioners nationwide.
