MDT Collaboration Forum

The MDT Collaboration Forum facilitates communication between elder justice multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) across the country. This community includes a place to post questions, share insights and share events, hosts a documents library for sharing relevant resources, and provides the ability for members to connect and learn from each other.

As an elder justice professional serving on an elder abuse MDT, you are part of a small, specialized community. We designed this forum to provide an opportunity for teams to lean on one another’s unique experiences, expertise and perspective.

Community Guidelines

Welcome to our community! This space is designed to foster collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas among professionals working to strengthen multidisciplinary responses to elder abuse. By participating, you agree to help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment.

  • Be respectful. Treat all members with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. Value diverse perspectives and engage in constructive dialogue, even when opinions differ.

  • Keep discussions professional. Share information, ask questions, and contribute resources that are relevant to elder justice, multidisciplinary teams, and related professional practice.

  • Be courteous in your communication. Harassment, personal attacks, discrimination, bullying, inflammatory remarks, or offensive, abusive, or profane language will not be tolerated.

  • Stay nonpartisan. Political advocacy, campaign-related content, and discussions unrelated to the community's mission are not permitted.

  • Protect confidentiality. Do not share confidential, identifying, or sensitive information about clients, cases, organizations, or other individuals. Follow all applicable laws, policies, and professional ethics regarding privacy and confidentiality.

  • Share responsibly. Ensure that information, resources, and recommendations are accurate to the best of your knowledge and respect intellectual property and copyright.

  • Help create a welcoming community. Encourage collaboration, support fellow members, and contribute in ways that promote learning and mutual respect.

To help maintain a positive environment, moderators may edit or remove content that violates these guidelines and, when necessary, suspend or revoke community access for repeated or serious violations.
